President and CEO, Ashraf Habibullah and Executive Vice President, Syed Hasanain have returned after completing a very successful week long Seminar tour of Northern Italy. The Tour was arranged and coordinated by Brunetta & Brunetta, the official representative of CSI in Italy.

The first seminar was presented on Saturday, October 16, 2004 in Bologna as part of SAIE, the largest Annual Construction Trade Show in Italy to a packed, standing room only, audience. This presentation provided valuable information associated with new technology from CSI. The presentation was beamed simultaneously into Italian. Brunetta & Brunetta also hosted a booth at SAIE to help promote and demonstrate CSI Products.

Seminars were also conducted at the University of Padua, the University of Udine and the University of Florence. These seminars were sponsored by the Universities and were all conducted within the campuses at venues of historical significance. The University of Padua is known for having Galileo as one of its Professors. The presentations were attended by a wide variety of Professionals, Educators, Researchers and Students. The Seminar content and level was tailored to suit the audiences. Max Brunetta was very effective in helping professional interpreters translate the technical aspects of the presentations.

The Seminars were packed with information on New Numerical Methods and Technology from CSI. Audiences were captivated by the presentations, educational and entertaining, distinguished by the remarkable fun filled manner of the speakers.

CSI is grateful to all the faculty members that contributed to the success of these seminars. They include Professors Lamberto Briseghella and Anna Saetta of the University of Padua, Professor Stefano Sorace of the University of Udine and Professors Paolo Spinelli, Andrea Vignoli and Gloria Terenzi of the University of Florence.

CSI products have enjoyed a significant presence in the Italian Market since the mid 1980’s. “CSI software, SAP2000 in particular, is considered the top of it's kind and sets the standard for other software products” states Max Brunetta.

“It’s amazing how CSI software is being utilized in this country where historical landmarks as well as new architectural structures are being created and preserved using our technology,” says Mr. Habibullah.

“Also, Syed and I are grateful to Max and his Staff for organizing this tour, for their legendary Italian hospitality and for acting as our tour guides and interpreters as they took us though Venice, Florence and Pisa.”

With CSI products representing the state of the art in Earthquake Engineering, with the new requirements of Italian Seismic Engineering Codes and with the introduction of the Italian Design Code options the market share of CSI products in Italy can only rise.
