Overview - ETABS to Revit Structure
- Upon importing and updating a Revit Structure model, users are given many options.
- Users can pick and choose which elements of their ETABS model they would like to import or update.
- Mapping tables allow users to set up property mapping between their ETABS and Revit Structure models.
Section Property Data
- All section property data in ETABS will automatically be mapped to equivalent section properties in Revit Structure.
- If a section property is not loaded in the current Revit Structure library, CSiXRevit will try to load it for you.
- If a section property cannot be mapped, CSiXRevit will assign a default property and the user given the ability to set up a correct mapping of the unmapped section property.
Floor Section Property Data
- CSiXRevit will map all ETABS floor Section property data to equivalent Revit Structure floor section properties.
- If an equivalent floor section property does not exist in Revit Structure, CSiXRevit will automatically create an equivalent floor section property and assign all ETABS floor section parameters accordingly.
- Users can overwrite any floor section property mapping that has been assigned by CSiXRevit.
Wall Section Property Data
- Similar to floor section property data, CSiXRevit will map all ETABS wall Section property data to equivalent Revit Structure wall section properties.
- If an equivalent wall section property does not exist in Revit Structure, CSiXRevit will automatically create an equivalent wall section property and assign all ETABS wall section parameters accordingly.
- Users can overwrite any wall section property mapping that has been assigned by CSiXRevit.
Object Mapping
- Object mapping is useful when data is transferred between ETABS and Revit Structure, and the 1:1 mapping of data elements has been broken to do analytical model meshing requirements, ie, meshed walls or broken columns.
- Users have the ability to very easily remap their Revit Structure elements to equivalent ETABS elements very easily using the object mapping feature of CSiXRevit.
- Users have the ability to map the actual Revit Structure objects to ETABS objects.
