I am pleased to share with you the latest edition of CSI’s e-Newsletter, featuring exciting information about CSI products, news, and updates. Most importantly, you can read about our upcoming seminar, Performance Based Design Using Nonlinear Analysis, on May 4th in New York City, presented by the world-renowned expert in nonlinear design and analysis, Dr. Graham H. Powell of UC Berkeley. This seminar will provide both an overview of the process of nonlinear analysis as well as detailed information on its practical application. There is still room, but the pre-registration deadline is April 27th!

I am especially pleased to announce that CSI will be opening a corporate office in New York City in early 2008. We have acquired real estate in Midtown Manhattan and intend to begin construction this summer. We look forward to welcoming our East Coast and international customers to our new location, where we will provide comprehensive sales service and technical support. We are excited to establish a corporate presence in a world-capital city that boasts some of the finest examples of the application of CSI software.

If you haven’t experienced SAP2000 version 11, you’re in for a treat! The new version has been significantly refined and now features new graphics and new solvers. Users at all levels will be impressed by its enhanced capabilities.

Performance Based Design Seminar: Register by April 27th
CSI is pleased to present this intense and practical seminar for structural engineers, building professionals, and students. It will be held at Arledge Cinema on the campus of Columbia University, New York City, Friday, May 4, 2007, presented by Dr. Graham H. Powell. The pre-registration deadline is April 27th! CSI Acquires Real Estate for Corporate Office in New York
CSI is pleased to announce plans to open an East Coast office in New York City. The new office, located in Midtown Manhattan just blocks from Times Square, will enhance CSI’s international presence and will enable CSI to provide even more robust service and support to its East Coast and international users. Construction will begin in Fall 2007 and the office will officially open in early 2008. Details to follow!

CSI Celebrates Presidential Birthday
On Sunday, February 18, 2007, Computers and Structures, Inc. hosted a reception in honor of company founder and president Ashraf Habibullah’s 60th birthday. Ashraf was joined by more than 400 colleagues and friends, as well as world-renowned dignitaries of the engineering profession, at Zellerbach Hall on the campus of UC Berkeley for an elegant evening of food, live music, and entertainment. The party was followed by a performance by the critically acclaimed Diablo Ballet, of which Ashraf is also co-founder and president. Click here for photos and details!
